Usage limits

Usage is counted per account and key environment.

Test and live usage are stored in separate counters. Each accepted check increments the counter before policy evaluation.

Response headers

Successful checks include:

X-SignupBear-Usage: 42
X-SignupBear-Limit: 100

When the current monthly bucket is full, SignupBear returns HTTP 429 with MONTHLY_LIMIT_EXCEEDED.

These are monthly plan limits, not a promise about burst throughput. Clients should use a short timeout and bounded retry policy.
